The Author: Sydney Biggs, the author, wrote as George Scott because he ownedthe Scott Street George Florist that was sited in the St George Hotel building on Willis Street. He subsequently moved his business to the Regent Centre in Manners St where he was joined by John Gilberthorpe. The Regent Centre was recently demolished, rebuilt and reincarnated as a joint venture cooking school between Le Cordon Bleu and Weltec with Dick Smith's below it.

Theme: Probably brave at the time - a play about homosexuals. Stories: The local vicar, who of course, hadn't seen the plays, wrote a letter to the local newspaper condemning homosexuals, drunks, and 'nonsense' plays.
